Principal's Message

  •  Bethel Middle School Parents/Guardians,

November and December are upon us. Thank you for your support during our ipad roll out and start to the school year. Our second season of sports will begin in November, with Wrestling and Girls Basketball.  We encourage you to go on-line and look to enroll your student into one of our clubs or sports programs. Being involved is an exciting part of middle school.

Students will be taking a progress monitoring assessment in their English and Math classes. This will help our teachers to know if they are addressing the unique learning needs of our students.

Look for information on a November parent workshop to support the deploymen to ipads. We'll lead a mini-conference at Bethel Middle School, where parents can come and explore ipads in the same manner that their students do every day. This will be an exciting chance for parents and students to connect with teachers and be learners for a day.

Clubs have started at school. We have several great clubs at Bethel Middle School. There is information on our webpage under the Activities tab. All students are encouraged to stay after-school to participate in a club, get some help in after-school tutoring, or join a sport team. The more involved a student is, the more they enjoy school.

Finally, we are focusing on student attendance in a new way. Students should be in school every day that they are not ill with a fever or doctor's note. Did you know that if a student misses ever 2 days per month, they are at risk of not graduating from High School. We have started to challenge students and staff to be here every day. We have plans to celebrate the advisory class with the best attendance every month. In addition, we are posting daily attendance averages around the school. Our goal is to be at 95% average daily attendance. Help us meet our goal by sending your student to school every day.

    Go Bulldogs!
